During the fiscal year 2013, Harp Technologies has witnessed significant growth and has hit all-time high values in both turnover and net profit. The solidity has also improved. This result and the solid project base give an outstanding start to the year 2014.
November 6, 2013: Harp Technologies signs a contract with the ESA.
The European Space Agency (ESA) has assigned Harp Technologies to study an advanced radiometer for Sea Surface Temperature (SST) observations. The work will be carried out under a programme of, and funded by, the European Space Agency. The work will be conducted by Harp Technologies in cooperation with Terma A/S (Denmark). This assignment will reinforce Harp Technologies’ expertise in the field of microwave sensors for the measurement of the environment.
October 10, 2013: Harp Technologies shares expertise at the URSI Symposium.
Harp Technologies presented “Detection of Spread Spectrum RFI Signals” at the international URSI Commission F Microwave Signatures Symposium, which took place in Espoo, Finland, on October 28-31, 2013. On this topic, Dr Janne Lahtinen of Harp Technologies discussed the detection of man-made spread spectrum Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) in microwave remote sensing radiometry.
September 1, 2013: Harp Technologies signs a contract with the ESA.
The European Space Agency (ESA) has assigned Harp Technologies to develop a Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) Processor. The work will be carried out under a programme of, and funded by, the European Space Agency. The development will take place in cooperation with the Technical University of Denmark, National Space Institute (DTU Space). This assignment will reinforce Harp Technologies’ competence in real-time signal processing in general, and in particular in RFI processor technology, which is considered important for future passive microwave sensors in space.
May 1, 2013: Harp Technologies’ engineering team strengthened.
Mr Arhippa Kovanen, M.Sc., has joined Harp Technologies. Mr. Kovanen brings almost 20 years of electronics design experience to Harp’s engineering team, which will be valuable for many ongoing and future customer projects.

October 29, 2012: Harp Technologies signs a contract with Efacec.
Harp Technologies has signed a contract with Efacec Engenharia e Sistemas, S.A. (Portugal) to develop the transmit-receive module and antennas of a radar altimeter for the “Assessment and Breadboarding of a Planetary Altimeter” project for the European Space Agency (ESA). Efacec is the largest Portuguese group in the field of electricity, with a turnover of over 1 B€.
